Black Mountains
The Arizona mountains visible from the Laughlin casino strip hold a fascinating array of wildlife and vistas. Large herds of desert bighorn sheep are located in the mountain range. It is also home to many abandoned gold and silver mines (the town of Oatman can be found in the Black Mountains). Proper precautions should be taken before undertaking any off road hikes or excursions into the Black Mountains. If you are a novice at desert exploration or are not familiar with the terrain, it is advised not to attempt a trek on your own.

Cruises on the river may be taken via tour boats, kayaks, jet skis, wave runners, and ferries. Great fishing for catfish, trout, and striped bass (particularly at the Davis Camp area).

Colorado River Historical Society and Museum
The museum includes replicas of area landmarks and historical displays. Also on display are items from early settlers to the first slot machines. The museum is located in the Davis Camp area on the Arizona side of the Colorado River north of the Laughlin Bridge (under 1 mile) on Highway 95. No admission charge, donations are accepted.

Davis Dam
The dam is located in Pyramid Canyon just north of Laughlin and was named in 1941 for then-Director of Reclamation, Arthur Powell Davis. The $67 million earth and rock filled embankment along the Colorado River has a concrete spillway, intake structure, and power plant. The structure is 200 ft. high and was completed in 1953 to control flash floods and to generate hydroelectric energy. A rock formation resembling a bull's head was located behind the present dam and was flooded by the waters of the Lake Mohave when the project was completed. The construction town below the dam was named Bullhead City in honor of this formation.

Grand Canyon Caverns
The Caverns are located 190 miles from the casino on historic Route 66 between Kingman and Seligman, Arizona. The guided tour takes visitors on an elevator lowering them 21 stories to view these natural limestone caverns. A restaurant and gift shop can be found at the cave entrance.
